    brokedown vehicle cardio time test

...vehicle runs outta gas 5k from home and two blocks from a gas station. You have no cell phone and no cash on you bc you were going to the gym. The clerk at the gas station says "no phone," in nearly unintelligible english. He/she/it won't be much help.

It hits you: you must go home on foot to retrieve a gas tank and money, return to the gas station, buy gas, march to your car, fill it up and split before the tow truck arrives.

You happened to break down right in front of a bus stop, seriously impeding traffic, so you know the news will spread fast.

    GO!

...yeah, I didnt really mind running 6 miles to revive my car and avoid a $300 fee. Skipping my workout is what pissed me off. Gas prices officially hurt my gains.

I don't play that game. When my low fuel light goes on you bet your ass I'm driving straight to the gas station so I don't get stuck in that situation!

Gas Stations around here, usually have those red containers that u can fill up with like a gallon of gas.. and take back to your car.

So grab one of those babies.
    Fill it up..
Go back to the car, fill up the car.
Drive the car home. Get some money, or ask mom for some money if u're a kid.
Drive back to the gas station.
    Return the Red container.
    Fill up the gas tank
Pay the gas station money for a full tank $50
    say thanks..
    go to the gym

yeah I've done that before. It was one of those ones thats like the size of a dorm room, so they didnt have one. I was thinking of pushing my car to the station, then realized that wasnt gonna work. I'm not the kinda guy who does that kinda thing without examining the situation first.

I suppose i could have bugged some guy to borrow a cell phone and call for aid, but i didnt want to humiliate myself. What would you do if some yoked sweaty freak in gym clothes approached you at a crappy gas station and asked for your cell phone? (if you were a normal OC prick)

    Funny today, irritating yesterday...

I play that game for sure, I'm a real fuel chancer. Been to the forbidden zone below E many times. Only one time ran out, and rolled down a hill to the gas station, so no real problem.

HAHA I used to have a 1974 Ford Pick-Up that got 9 miles to the gallon. I had no money at the time. I ended up carrying my bike in the bed of the truck wherever i went, I needed it more than once

E stands for "Enough." They should always put gas stations at the bottoms of hills i think.

i never leave a 3 mile radius arround my house. gym is .5 ml from home work is 3 ml from home. so a run home and back would have just been a warm up.

Cost the same if you fill it up on when it's on E or fill it up after it stalls.
