The morning after pill at this point will only serve to screw with her cycle.
It can cause her ovulation schedule to be less consistant... or more frequent. My girlfriend had two periods in one month because of its use.
If you administer it now for your peace of mind go ahead... Next time don't 'run out' of the birth control. It is only as effective as her adherance to the administraton protocol.

Im pretty sure it takes a few days for an egg to be dropped/able to be fertilized. So if this is the day after ovulation, you may very well be fine.
And if she ends up getting pregnant somehow. I read other posts says to pack your sh*t and run, don't be a coward. Not very funny in my opinion. But in any case, no point in freaking out. Whats done is done, and if a new chapter arises in your life, then approach it as an adventure. No other way to really see this.

Well, unelss I'm mistaken as well, women have TWO eggs and each month we only get rid of ONE. The other one is still there... just hanging out. Your chances of getting pregnant when you only have one egg are probably greatly reduced, but it's still possible. But I think you have like three days to take the morning after pill and it's still effective to a certain point. Hope it worked out for y'all.
