Last time I was in LA was for Mardi Gras....what a party! Once is enough for me though!! I had to throw my shoes aways...they collected lots of gross stuff, while walking around the Quarter!

If youre trying to escape tourists, then stay away for Estes Park (where the Stanley is located) A bunch of fat Nebraskans taking pictures of elk and eating salt water tafffy....no thanks! The Hotel is a pretty neat place...it'd be worth staying the night in, and then checking out Rocky Mountain National Park (located in Estes) but definitely a tourist trap!
