    Infection?

    I did my first injection 2 days ago and now I have a red circle about 3" dia. After my first injection I went to the gym and then did some serious sprints on the track. Right after my running my ass started to kill and then I ended up getting a little sick, but I think it was due to the fact I was running outside in cold weather after i got all sweaty after the gym.

    Anyway, I did use a preperation pad before my injection in that area and even used one to wipe the top of the bottle.

    What do you guys think?

    Probably not... You might have just bust a blood vessle or even better yet some of the oil might have seeped backwards when pulling the needle out.. somtimes this causes it to get a lil red while your body absorbs the good stuff... Now if there is white shit coming out of it then yeah you have an infection but 9/10 the body will take care of its self

    I injected Enan. And are you asking if my butt gets hot? I missed you on that one, but its been hurting just the same as last night. It hurts when I push on it with my finger.

    Ok but is it hot to the touch???..do you feel feverish????...is the red getting bigger or spreading??

    if the red area is getting larger rather than smaller...it is an infection and its getting worse.

    red, soar, warm to the touch are all signs of infection.

    and it could just be a very soar injection site, not necessarily infected...

    Its not too much hotter then any other place I touch. Maybe just a little bit. But i have been feeling fevorish. Let me take a pic of it.

    So far the redness isn't getting bigger.

    thats not an "alarming" red area. i would draw a circle around the red area and monitor for the next 12 to 24 hours. if the redness intensifies or travels outside the circled area (infection is spreading) see a doctor right away.

    in the meantime apply a warm, damp compress over the next 12 hours with a topical antibiotic.

    if it starts going away your in the clear...if it gets worse, get you ass in to see the doc.

    in all it doesn't look too bad.

    ive had a few close calls with MRSA...luckily just turned out to be STAFF but man these type of infections, whether by injection or just the infection getting in by some break in the skin are becoming more and more serious and wide spread...plus they are not to be toyed with.

    very, very serious situation.

    Is it just me, or is the injection site really low here? I typically inject higher (upper / outer quadrant)... more prone to abcess lower you go...
