This was the question asked of me today in the gym.
I told the guy the truth... protein.
I was shrugging 855 for 8 reps (friggin hurt..lol) and only using wraps. he said he couldnt do that with hooks. I hate hooks... they just dont feel right for me. So i chalk up and use wraps. Then after i do 6 sets, i do strip drop sets and hold peak contractions for 10 secs with 4 reps... total 8 sets. OUCH!! but man... the pump you get in your traps is outragous.
Then that guy comes up to me with the question while im doing abs and I set him straight. im taking in 6k cals a day for maintenaince until i start cutting next month for a show and ill drop my cals to about 1/2 that for 16 weeks ( i know 16 weeks is awhile... but i got 4 weeks of play time also to dial in) . so i see him go over to his budies.. "hes only taking protein"
