Lightbulb So.. I have a question for both the ladies and gents.

Ok so what guys here shave their armpit hair? I was thinking about it and, I heard that if some guys sweat more often then others (I for one do) then shaving their armpit hair will help with the smell? and clothes smelling etc.. Also after a hard workout I do I'm sure most do as well.. Does any guys have personal experience with it?

I shave my chest and down below luckily I don't have back hair, so I was thinking about shaving my armpit.

For the ladies I'm sure most of you are here for fitness related help not to pick up guys anyways, what do you ladies think of it?

Dont totally shave it off (thats gay unless you compete) but trim it down with a beard trimmer (3 blade).

i've dated guys that have trimmed it like DSM said, you can also have botox injected into your sweat glands so you don't sweat anymore, it lasts for about 3 months each time

There is a reason why you sweat, if any of my friends got a botox injection there I would seriously kick there ass for being that much of a metrosexual.

when i used to compete in rock climbing i knew guys who got that done in their hands to help stop the hand sweating during climbs

i mean we used chalk but if you keep sweating and using chalk it turns to pasty cement. lol

Shaving your armpit hair will most likely increase sweating. By removing that insulation (your pit hair), there will be more skin contacting skin. For example, if you've ever held someone's hand for a period of time you may notice your hand becomes sweaty and clammy. But if you have some sort of insulation like a sheet or towel between the hands, you will not sweat. Hair works the same way.

Some people suffer from axillary hyperhydrosis and require botox injections to bring their sweating back down to a normal level.

I basically shave everything bald except by armpit/head/brows.

I did once shave my pits and hugest friggn mistake in the world. If you think you sweat a lot now shaving your pits will have them sweating literally all day long.

AND when it sweats it feels fvckn gross cause the skin slips back and forth between your arms when you're walking. So yeh I agree, def trim but never go bald.

Been shaving them foir years. No ingrown hairs. Only bother is when the hair starts to grow back the stubble sucks a lil for a day or so.
