From what I'm reading the OP is drawing up BW with a different pin and then using a slin pin to draw for the injection. If this is so, why don't u just use a slin pin and draw up the amount you need. Its more accurate.

If you don't have too many slin pins,
Keep the pin in the vial after you put all the bw in and draw all of it back up. Read your slin pin tics make sure you didn't take your pin out of the vial yet while doing so, then squirt half back in the vial.
This way you keep the pin from being used too much.

If you want, you can use an old slin pin for the adding your solution, then the new pin will be used just to draw up and inject gh. I usually do it this way so my pin is sharper for injection. Some ppl use a slin pin for 3 injections. I use once, twice if I get low on pins.

I'm still confused here... YOU USE THE SAME EXACT Slin Pin to draw out the GH ... say I am drawing 2iu's so I draw up to 2 ticks on the slin pin.. if I mixed it with 1ml.. regardless of the numbers.. I draw the gh up into the slin pin.. remove said pin from vial... alcohol swab where I am going to inject (whether it's sub-q or IM) and stick the slin pin into my body [THE SAME ONE I JUST DREW WITH] AND inject the GH into my body...

That's how to administer this stuff... just like that??

yes, thats how you do it. what are you confused about??


to the OP. it sounds pretty simple, whats going on here. you put 1ml of BW in your vial. but when you draw out of the vial, there is GH in the tip of the pin. which isnt accounted for. so when you draw your second shot, you would have slightly less than 1/2ml in the vial.

that is the only way this could happen. but it seems like you are missing a lot, considering how small the pin tip is, on an insulin needle. but the amount of solution left in your pin tip, plus the minimal amount left in the vial that you cant get out. i suppose its possible.
