Well, I got back from the Dr today and I def. have a small hernia. He recommended not doing anything about it because it's so small and there isn't any pain. He said it's really not worth operating on it at this point and it prob. won't grow or anything. he said if it starts bothering me or if it gets bigger I may want to consider doing something about it. He said I can keep training MMA and lifting without issue so long as it doesn't hurt.

I had a repair done on 5/18 of this year using mesh . Stronger than ever and using AAS I now have to have 2nd surgery on opposite side 12/28 . Dam gear !
Since I have had so many people probe ,check and poke me , I feel somewhat experienced here . Detriot medical center works with Wayne State as a medical training facility .

A Hernia is a hole or tear in abdominal wall . You intestines begin popping out . Sneezing , coughing and improper breathing when lifting push insides out .
I made mine worse by continuing normal activities and hoping it wasn't what it was . Pushing lump back in place gives me some relief .
I hate to believe there is a hernia that can be found that isn't a concern .

I wish you luck , but think you should get a second opinion .
The smaller the hole , the less evasive the surgery .

I had one fixed with the mesh about 15 years ago . It was a big one , had it for 2 years and never knew anything was wrong , I was i highschool . Yea a huge lump pushed out above my cock.....but never had a bit of pain. The docotrs were shocked and said it was the bigest they have seen .

I wouldn't let pain be the deciding factor . Just my 2cents .

The Doctors concern was that doing the operation may make things worse. he said because it is so small and there isn't any pain at all not to worry about it but to monitor it closely. He wants me to schedule a physical in the next few weeks and he said he can take another look at it then. He said he can send me to a surgeon if I choose but said because of the size it may be better to just leave it. I'll monitor it and see how it goes. If it starts bothering me in any way shape or form I will have it fixed. He said because it's so small they can do it with a scope and just push it back in and sew it up and be done. They wouldn't need the mesh because it's so small.

Just a word of caution..... i'd see the surgeon just as a second opinion. A scoping is a piece of cake and you certainly don't want mesh if you don't need it..... that stuff (synthetic mesh) is unreliable and can be rejected by the body.

A second opinion by a surgeon certainly wont hurt.....

2-4 weeks sounds about right for something that small. Scopings are a cakewalk compared to the more invasive repairs..... i'd take care of it and use the down time to give my body a break from the gym..... hit it hard when you have no extra holes

I never had a hernia but had an experience with a doctor that was ready to do surgery on my hand. He had me in a cast, my surgery was scheduled and I just wasn't ready to believe I needed surgery. I sceduled an appointment with another doctor before the surgery. She took one look at it and said I can give you a shot right now and it will be gone. Before I got to my car it was gone, and I almost had surgery. It is always a smart idea to get a second opinion.

Ah god flashbacks... I had double on lower abdomen 4inch cuts each side....God it still burns...Get scopped not cut.
