2002 Camaro SS C/H/I, blown on 7 psi procharger. Stock 346 LS1. Built Rear End, built 6speed. Dynoed at 521rwhp/478rwtq. And it was on a bit of a diet too at those times. Stripped a few hundred lbs before the Cage was put in. Building a forged iron block motor for it now. So I should get some faster ET's in this summer I hope.
Now that's a build, nice work man... put a 4.11 in there or at least a 3.73 to up your times, high flow cat, etc....then if you want ot really get nuts throw in a 250 shot of nitrous lol.

I thought the ls1 came as an aluminum block.

No its red, I had a 00 WS6 that was black. But a deer decided to put an end to its rain of terror. So I swapped almost all of the go fast parts off of it over to the Camaro, which I picked up cheap from a guy that kept it in the garage and never drove it.

It has full exhaust, headers, cutouts, highflow cats for the street.
The LS1 is aluminum but I picked up a long block LQ9 truck motor for it. Those are iron blocks and are a 6liter block instead of a 5.7 liter like the LS1. But all the sensors, and accessories swap directly over to from the LS1. I went with 3.73 gears for the rear. I still get 28mph highway at 75mph....LOL

Thats no lie, I wish I was good at it so I could do it myself. But I dont want my learning curve to be on my car so I have a guy do all the tricky stuff for me.

Also you would have to spend 400 for the programmer, then knowing what you're doing is the hard part lol. For having a 3.73 I'm still impressed you get that good mpg....

It came stock with a 3.42 so not a huge difference really. Even with 410's I think I would still have got ok milage. If I had the A4 then there would have been a much bigger knock on mpg.

And hp, nothing cool or fun about a 500+hp car with an A4 either, don't care how high of a stall someone throws in there.
