Removal of Glands - Gyno Surgury

I heard today that if glands are removed during gyno surgury, that a significant amount of strengh is also lost. I'm not sure about the how the glad connects and/or contributes to the overall mass of the pectoral, so does anyone have any insight on this?

AlphaGenetics, I know you had your glands removed if I'm not mistaken -

Also, by removal of the glands, does that stop estrogen production in your body all together and, if so, isn't that a bad thing as it relates to potential gains moving forward?

I dont think the removal of breast tissue should have any bearing on either of those things but I'll wait and see what the experts say. My answer would be nay on both.

No I diddnt lose any strength from getting my glands cut out and no it dosent affect estrogen levels either. Im positive about this. If I dont take adex I still get sore nips from running test so Im not impervious to gyno either like I once thought. You really cant notice any difference except small scars under the nipple.

never talked to a doctor that said they removed all the glands it is my understating that the nipple would die or something. I have had the surgery done twice and I did not notice a loss in strength in my chest.

But just like surgery any place on your body you are not at full strength till you heal all the way up basically because there may be some discomfort or soreness around the incision.

AG, thanks for the response bro. I actually had a small lump cut out on my right side in 04 and I've got the same thing going on both sides now and I'm in the process of scheduling everything for round to, but want to take the glands out this time. That kind of squashes the rumor of not having to run any AIs after your glands are removed.

jbran thx for the response as well - good call, you were right.

    Peace,

yeah definetely, you'd expect to have the normal loss of strength during the healing period, but I was talking more on a permanent basis.

Glad I can give some advice on my first post. I had the surgery three years ago with the glands removed, I was unable to train for about a month, but then was back to full strength soon after.

Definetely helps in what I tell my doc I want done. I'd love the glands removed if it has no adverse effects on residual growth..
