    Menthol rubs

Does the application of a menthol rub everyday on minor tendonitis help after a period of time? For example if you rub some on every day while you are at home for 2 weeks, will you notice an improvement when you don't have it on? I am not talking about heavy or chronic tendonitis, I mean minor or beginning.

Second do you feel DMSO has any benefit worth looking into if used in a similar manner? For the record DMSO is a powerful compound that can do more harm than good from what I have read.

Wow, I read this just to see if you were gtting it on the balls, shaft, or going apesh1t and q-tipping it into the peehole. I really shocked by the maturity of this thread.

Too lazy to link (cellphone), but ergolog recently posted a university study that found menthol rubs to provide no benefit other than the act of rubbing...mean that only massage was found to be effective. Not sure if this applies to tendonitis or if the study was on doms. I suck today.

Oh and when I was ten I dressed as the terminator for holloween and I accidentally slicked my hair back with this stuff and holy sh1t did it hurt. Hahahaha.

the hot stuff does help temporarily. I like tiger balm.

DMSO is DEFIANTLY worth looking into. It's a great anti inflammatory. I use it in liquid and gel form. I can tell a difference very soon after using it especially when my shoulder and tendons down my arm are inflamed which is to often.

Do some Google on DMSO, it is pretty amazing stuff. They have been using it for race horses for years on their tendons before and after races.

BTW I have read/heard stories of people getting Tiger Balm on their dick by accident. Not very pleasant....

Yeah I got Tiger Balm in the corner of my eye it burned like a mother

DMSO looks pretty available. Saw some on ebay even. I am thinking it might not require script. I took time to read up on it a while back and it is pretty advanced stuff. I read something about it can leach stuff into the body and must be used in a very sterile way because of this. I forget the exact details to be honest will read again before using if I do get a bottle.

I bumped this thread because I put Tiger Balm on my elbow yesterday. My tricep tendon there has been giving me trouble for months. I even took 4 days off hoping it would help. Yesterday, still bothering me. I wake up today after sleeping with it on. The elbow is a LOT BETTER. I know its probably temporary and as soon as I start using it in the gym its going to flare up again, but I am going to keep putting it on everyday and see if this is just a fluke or if it really can give extended relief.
