    deadlifts amd squats....

    I do deadlifts on thursdays and squats on fridays always and love them but can you i do this all year round or should i give them a break every so often ?

    Deload phases are essential. You can do them all year long, as long as you aren't exceeding your bodies own recovery capacity/allowing for proper rest when needed. And I wouldn't condone the use of DL's and Squats consecutively.

    The deadlift is lower dominant exercise, meaning not only does it recruit your upper portion tremendously, the drive and leg power to get the proper conventional deadlift up, involves/recuits more of your lower body. So training your lower body the day after would not be wise.

    I am with HP totally. I try to do Deads the day before an off day because they BREAK me.

    sorry, i mean deadlift on thursday then day of then squat saturday then 2 days off

    so would i go...

    i train 3 days a week
    tuesday, thursday and saturday

    If u think your lower back can take it and not risk injury. Personally I can't do deadlifts and squats in the same week.

    I don't know. Maybe do them a few days apart. The squats and dead lift. Power lifters do squats twice a week, bench press 2 times and dead lift once a week. Not all but many do. Some just do all those once a week.
