Insulin Educational Threads

Can anyone recommend some reading materials to become better educated on when and how to use insulin? I did a search here on "insulin" and did not come up with very many comprehensive, informative, how to type threads (I only searched this part of the forum though). Vettewrecks thread is good but I am looking for more details on the whys and how aspects of insulin use.

Thanks Slimmer, I did see those but I appreciate the effort in linking them here. I am looking for something that gets into some safe (relatively speaking) protocols for using insulin, especially with HGH.
