    The main thing to me is that when you eat before you do cardio is that you may be burning the food you ate instead of the fat storage.

    Definitely with carbs, fats to a lesser extent, and protein really isn't a worry. When I do 'fasted' cardio, I still have a shake and/or some egg whites prior, sometimes even a whole egg with the whites. I just drop the oats and berries obviously.
