are you sure the doctors specifically said ephedrine caused the fatty liver?

ephedrine is a sympathetic stimulator and causes increased glucose metabolism in your blood. it actually promotes glycogenolysis (the breakdown of glycogen) and when your glucose and glycogen is depleted it will cause beta-oxidation of your fatty acids to use for energy.

i strongly doubt that ephedrine would cause fatty liver because that is the complete opposite of how the mechanism works. i'm guessing it is some sort of insulin resistance. are you obese? indian? family history of type II diabetes? family history of hypertension? maybe it is the beginning of metabolic syndrome

    ^^ Agreed.
I see no reason why the ephedrine would be the cause of your fatty liver.

just when you mention that, i used to work with an indian guy who said he had to pack in training due to some ethnic based health variance, cant rem what it was though?

This has actually happened to me as well. The way my doctor explained it me was that because I was dropping weight so fast, my body was not able to keep up with it. This was causing the "fatty liver".

In retrospect I really didnt run the cycle properly. I was dropping 5-6 pounds a week which is obviously too much to be healthy.

Ever since that happened, my doctor orders liver function tests every once in a while to make sure everything looks ok. Its been about 6 years now with no problems whatsoever. Although I havent done an ephedrine cycle since the first time either.

Just make sure you arent losing way too quickly and maybe start taking some liver support supplements to help it repair.

Not possible that Eph caused this problem...the world would be littered with painful fatty livers, and I'd be atop the list!
Very probable that Eph may have exacerbated something else.

    A post-test does a researcher no good without a pre-test.

    There are alternatives to Eph/Clen.

I had the same issue after starting Arginine and Orthinine for a few weeks. I had a blood test 4 months prior.. just a routine thing. 4 months later my liver numbers were tripled. The supplements SHOULDN'T cause the problems and I cannot say that they directly contributed to the rise, but nothing else in my diet had changed. The only other thing is that the town had sprayed for pesticides about a week before the blood test which my pharmacist said can cause high numbers. If you do have a phamacist that you deal with a lot you could ask them what else could have caused the numbers to rise. It could also have simply been that your body just doesn't like particular chemical.
