They can happen for any number of reasons like stress, not enough sleep, too much partying, too much caffeine...the list goes on.

They happen commonly and it's really a way for the brain to recalibrate it's sync with a normal cardiac rhythm.

There may be an underlining pathology that can cause them but from what you describe it's more normal than anything else.

I get them all the time and I don't even think about them any more.

Here's a link that may help you better understand them: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/e...cle/003081.htm
Who gave you permission to come out of your cage? HRT Section. Rarely ever see you over here on the dark side.

I would not say you have a heart murmur or it skips until you have it proven medically. it's easy to not feel a heart beat and imagine all sorts of stuff. Easy and obvious answer is go to the doctor and get it verified and then see if it's really an issue you need to have looked into further. Maybe your last 2 girlfriends just took part of your heart with them?
Yeah I know it's not something I should notice. But it's pretty obvious when it happens. It just feels like my heart skips like one or two seconds tops and then starts beating again. While it stops it has this sinking sort of feeling. I can't really describe it.

    Thanks. Will do.

Thanks buddy. It's not an often thing. Maybe once a week at most. Sometimes I'll go a few weeks without anything.
