Church Lady came a knocking on my door............

.....and for some reason, I felt chatty. I asked her a real basic question after she handed me a pamphlet with Jesus on the cover. My question was this....

....why is Jesus always portrayed as a blue eyed white guy? People from that part of the world have full beards, olive skin and black hair and brown eyes.

So why does the churches around here feel the need to portray him as a white guy? He's clearly of Arab descent.

She said it might be something to do with people being more comfortable thinking Jesus is a white guy? Really?

I asked, tons, I mainly remember asking about all the proven evidence of dinosaurs. He couldn't explain them. He just kept telling me that you have to have faith. That's all well and good. But for me that's blind ignorance to ignore things as big as that. If he'd maybe had an explanation I could have at least tried to believe.

Never mind, I have my own beliefs, they keep me at peace. If there's a god,and he can see into put hearts/souls, then it doesn't matter what I call him.

Here is a religious persons excuse for things they cannot explain and let me tell you something they cannot explain much

1) You have to have faith
2) He works in mysterious ways
3) Freewill which really is not free will because anything we do is pretty much putting us in hell anyhow

there is evidence. fulfilled prophecy for starters.. historical data.. ill round some of this stuff up. i have heard the sermons and done the studies but my memory sucks.. there is more proof than u think. a lot of the evidence too lies within the Bible and the more u read and understand what is being taught, things open u and become clear.

God says that people will not believe and will require evidence and that is exactly what happens..

it astounds me how lackadaisical people tend to be toward trying to learn and understand biblical history and the truth of what God says. your eternal future is in ur hands and people ignorantly and willfully turn their heads and never even choose to look into it.. it amazes me. not to mention the fact of what the hell do u think is gonna happen when u die?? u just cease to exist? human life is worth nothing more than that of a common animal if this is the case. the value of life lies within our eternal nature!
