First of all, the first thing I’d try to find out, is if you are Ectomorph tending to mesomorph, or ecto tending to endomorph (skinnyfat)
Here are many people that have good genetics, and tell you eat more, that simple.
That’s not that easy.
If you are lucky, you are ecto tending to meso, so its right, you eat more, you eat clean, you bulk clean, and you get awesome results. You’ll never be considered a BB, but, you can have the typical beach body, vascular and hard, with some good definition
If you are like me, ecto tending to endo, the story is very different. You eat clean and little, you get very lean with a good definition but no muscle mass at all, you get the typical 15 yo skinny boy.
Whats happens if you bulk even clean? You get bigger muscles, and you get fat. And probably, all the fat will be centred around the waist, making a woman/pear-looking body.
If you go back on cutting diet, you’ll loose muscle at the same ratio of fat, and you’ll be back at point 0.
The most here will tell you it BS what I’m saying, because the reality is that there are not so many real hardgainers out there, and even less, skinnyfat.
So they say, the fault is the diet and bla bla bla.
Then you see a mesomorph eating pizza and junk food all day, and gets ripped by doing a little cardio, and you have to hear, that its because his good diet and right workout.
My theory is, its all about genetics in BB.
I love my genetics, but I know, that without AAS, I’m nothing, and even with AAS, I’ll never get really big.
I’ll never bulk again, I’ll try to keep it clean, and only during cycle, go up with cal, but trying to maintain BF.
This is only my opinion, maybe its all BS what I just said, so nobody is forced to read what I’m writing, but maybe it helps.
