but it wasnt the same colour of the oil was a cream colour like puss and now my shoulders slightly swollen, altho this could just be from the injection. like i say its not sore or red or tender to touch just abit swollen in injection site and yea abit of puss came out when i took out the needle

It could be what is called a sterile abscess. I'm not sure how that works but I will recommend you to leave that location alone for a time. But watch it very closely. Be on the alert if it swells more. gets red and has a warm to hot feeling to the touch. If so then gt to the doctor and get on some antibiotics ASAP. Good luck. ...crazy mike

Just an idea that I used to do for when I thought I may be developing an abscess (IV use). I would do a warm/cold application every couple hours rotating between a luke warm towel and a cold towel on the location for 10-15 minutes. In a week it would usually subside. I do not know if mine were exactly the same as yours, but this could help.

Grim, it is a little different if your IV abscess is due to missing the vein. I have missed but no abscess, how ever much pain. I didn't get it infected the concentrate just irritated the tissue. In other cases there is a clear infection. A warm/cold compress is good for both. ..crazy mike

Keep a close eye on it to make sure it doesn't become infected.
