I don't want to change the topic, but rather than start a new thread, I figured I'd just ask on this one. How do you feel when someone calls you "bud"? I hate it. When I was a young kid, my elders would call me bud. I didn't have a problem with it then. But now, when someone my age (or even younger than me) calls me 'bud', it irritates the hell out of me. Most of the time, it's someone I've never met too. It almost seems like they have a Napolean complex, and they say it to position themselves 'above' you. Then I think to myself, if I'm so bothered by it, then maybe I'm the one with the Napolean complex?? But I've even asked some other people about it, and they hate it also. I don't ever say anything about it cuz I don't want to show that it does bother me. I generally just give them a "Whatever you say, little man" smile, and go on my way.Then again, maybe I'm waaay overthinking it. Anybody else have a problem with being called 'bud'?
