i'm graduating in december and i got offered a little under average for a recent graduate ($45k). but living at home and paying $300-$400 per month including ALL bills and food, i think i'll save up a few bucks pretty easily...=) also, i get a standard raise in 6 months.

btw, where i live now, i was searching for jobs. there are lots of "senior" and "lead" programming positions wanted, offering $80k or more and only requiring 5-10 years experience. imo, thats pretty good...

i think i would be pretty happy in life making $80k and my wife making the same. then again, maybe not...i heard once you're a bit older, things get really expensive, really quickly...

Thats a nice start. I've been developing for about ten years. I got a nice stock option plan in the startup company I'm at now. I'm sure you will be making $80k soon if you work hard. You'll be surprised how little $80k is now days unfortunatly. Good luck. Where do you live?
