Nolvadex on cycle

The more I read the forums, the more I've started seeing something I never saw previously: people taking nolvadex on cycle. To the best of my understanding, it's not to lower estrogen, but to make you less sensitive to it. Am I understanding this correctly? I know people are using it as a preventative measure against gyno. I would just like more general information on this since this is not something I initially came across in my research.

Is there a recommended dose for a test only cycle? Currently I plan on starting aromasin at 12.5 mg/day a week before my first cycle. But that's months away and may vary depending on pre-cycle bloodwork.

If gyno sensitive then nolva at a low dose (10 mgs per day) is prudent on cycle. Not as a replacement for an AI but in addition to it.
There's never a need to start an AI before you cycle.

Can only speak to personal experience. Was running Adex at .25mg/3x wk. as my AI. Switched from Test Cyp to Sustanon and upped dosage from 500mg/wk. to 750/wk. Sort of tapered and replaced. Think I overdid it and started getting a lump under my left nipple. Ran Nolvadex 20mg/day for 2 weeks and then 10mg/day for two more weeks. Lump gone and has not returned.

I believe it blocks estrogen at the receptor site (the nipple/breast tissue.) So it definitely can be used during a cycle to combat gyno symptoms.

Very very interesting. Definitely something to consider. I'll definitely have some additional nolva on hand for my first cycle just in case.
