No, smart thinking. Although this virus is mild symptom-wise, it is spreading quickly.

It honestly can shut down the country; not due to its severity of symptoms, but by the panic it is causing & how it will overwhelm the healthcare system.

As more elderly die (and they will) and the numbers keep rising, the panic will only grow.

Personally, if MLB started this week, I’d say, no fans allowed at the park. I wish the NBA were more proactive in all honesty.

That's true. It looks like only the prepaid tickets for the bodybuilding finals will be allowed. The local economy and the expo vendors probably took one hell of a hit in the wallet.

Imagine a competitor catching it randomly in the airport or plane, infecting others at the show, who then spreads to some elderly family members and they die. Very possible scenario. Lot of folks are going to have to make sacrifices & forgo personal freedoms.

You might know this, but the pro bodybuilders and the judges are still going on with the show, it's just the amateur competition is cancelled, along with the public events, expo, etc.

First & only person in New Hampshire is infected, is told to stay home to avoid spreading it. Horse shit says he, goes to an “event” instead. Now have to trace his movements, disinfect everything & track down everyone he might have come in contact with. Utter horse shit. It’s a bb show, let it go.

this is not the movie outbreak, unless u are old or have lung issues u will not die. if anyone is still going to gym then they have a much higher chance of getting it there as the gym is the dirtiest place around, I dont care what gym it is unless its at ur house.

this just raises the fear and continues to hurt the economy.

Well Mooseman, much respect to you. My wife and I have over 2 million tied into the market/investments and we are planning on retiring in a year.

Am I giving a thumbs up to the economy taking a hit? Hell no. But do I want my portfolio to be all comfy at the risk of killing more people?

My wife is a PT and works at a huge medical complex with multiple labs, pharmacies, a slew of outpatient services, as well as a hospital itself. The insane & super-human measures they are taking to identify and then isolate those sick is mind blowing.

My feeling is the entertainment industry (including sports) should take a hit for society & step up. But that’s just me & I’m putting my $ where my mouth is.
