They're both beasts and are pretty down to earth. Been trying to set aside some time quality time to catch up on Giants Live and WSM.....man, I miss IFSA.

And then I went back further in my memory and recalled watching these two on Saturday afternoons in the 60’s. They aren’t brothers though. But like the Stoltmans, not to be taken lightly and definitely wouldn’t want to come across in a dark alley . . .

Dick the Bruiser... man its been a long time since I heard that name.

Old school rasslers were definitely a different breed. Do you remember Joe LeDuc? Certifiable. I remember watching an interview with him one time where he smashed a vase or something across his forehead with the camera rolling the whole time. Slowly, blood started seeping out of about a half dozen cuts, the whole time he was carrying on with the interview. Nuts.

I also remember the first time (early 90s) I saw Sid Vicious (again, the rassler, not the Sex Pistol) in the gym. Beastly. I never saw him squat, but he did like the leg extension machine.

I chose not to tell him 'real men squat, bitch!' I still think that was one of my better decisions...

I only remember this guy. He had a hold he called “the claw” in which he’d grab a guys stomach and he’d be incapacitated like a submission hold in MMA. All kind of cartoonish, but good fun.

I think the broadcasts I watched in the late 60’s came from Milwaukee and pretty sure were on Saturday afternoon on the UHF channel.

Not a lot going on as well. The time went to adding extra foil and antenna repositioning to get a “clear” picture on the t.v. set, lol.

Damn funny you mention the TV thing. I always found that the later in the evening it got, the further away my little cheap black and white could pick up broadcasts. Like before 8pm, nothing from outside of Memphis. But closer to say 11pm, I could pick up fuzzy but surprisingly clear broadcasts from 70 to 100 miles away.
