    Syringe issue please help.

    Hey everyone,

I fucked up... I just flew to work and packed all my needles, and my test... but fuck me I only have one syringe. I forgot to pa CJ the syringes... I’m here for a couple weeks. My question is: Will I be okay to use the same syringe if I change the needle, for a second injection... or do you think I should just wait 1 week do one shot... and wait one more week until I’m home and do another shot. I normally do 2x a week injections at 250 a pop.... what do people think I should do here? My last shot was Thursday

You should be able to get syringes without the needle at any pharmacy

I was able to get syringes with needles at the pharmacy. No questions asked. Like $1.50 each

Unless something has changed, you can get both syringes and needles at the pharmacy without a script. I forget when they mandated it as law, but it was to help decrease the transmission of bloodborne diseases between drug addicts. Obviously you're not that - but if you need a quick short term solution...

If they have mail delivery, order some and have them sent there.

At the chance of being excommunicated from the site.....As long as you do not aspirate (possibly pulling body fluids into the syringe) you will probably be fine. While I normally aspirate I have only pulled blood into the syringe once out of thousands of shots and have also after suffered a severe cough several times where there was no blood at all present.

If you choose to do more than one shot my suggestion would be that after you do the first shot remove the used needle and cap the syringe with a new needle and keep the sterile wrapper on the needle. Then when its time for the next shot go ahead and install a fresh needle.

This process while not ideal, will greatly reduce the chance of anything non sterile entering the syringe.

On the other hand no one ever got an abscess from missing one shot.....

Of course its not recommended and not advised to do so. I have done it in the past, ive done alot stupider shit than that . With that said, id exhaust my options first, and amazon prime can get you syringes in literally 48 hours. Its 2021, take advantage of it

What’s wrong with soaking the syringe and plunger in warm soapy water and pushing the water out and letting the syringe dry off?

Thanks for all the advice guys... I am working in a remote area where a delivery would take a month and what not. I’m a miner. Yes I’ve put fresh needle on and stored it... I’ll pin once per week instead of twice. Fuc K I hate it when I forget something

Man, reusing a syringe is really not preferable.
