Beat you to it, brother Blues.

I agree with all of the above posts.

Interestingly "futuristic" solution proposed by Honkey_Kong; wall off the South Side, pump utilities in their (gas, electricity, water) and well; "let mother nature do the rest".

Interestingly (but not at all shocking) enough, Pres. Obama (I know... I am striving for the coveted title of The Most Locked Threads", but I assure "the powers that be" that, this is in no way a political statement.) was quoted as saying that, "Chicago is a beautiful place to live..."; he didn't move his family to the South Side...

In the comments section of the above article, numerous posts were advocating for the prosecution and punishment of the parents; while I may or may not agree with that; in my mind it doesn't smack much of American justice. I am by no means a lawyer, although I could perhaps qualify, if one were to calculate all the time I have spent embroiled in legal issues... Also, many posters mentioned reinstituting corporal punishment in the schools, religion and of course the root cause of the problem; bad parenting (Or no parenting at all.). I would agree with all of these. Wango brought up "...thanks to the parenting & social media...", the social media culture in which we live; I would say that this is also a factor/

It is a shame that we cannot have an open discussion here in The Anabolic Lounge, for risk of closure, because a frank and open discussion, in my view, is the only way to debate the issue...

Maybe the powers to be could create another room just for political or Hot topics?

It has been discussed, but those that can't follow the rules now wouldn't have the self-discipline to keep it in the correct area let alone follow the rules.

Example, a members posts a thread with disclaimer that it will be taken down in record time, there's not a chance in hell they have the discipline to follow the rules.

Edit: Think about it. If they felt the thread was likely to be taken down in record time, they knew the context was likely to not fall within acceptable content.

When "Admin* tells me I'm bring too restrictive, I'll throttle it back. Otherwise, expect more of the same. Rules will be followed.

    byts, RIGHT THE FUCK ON...!!!

I picture it now: the No Holds Barred, BARE KNUCKLE BRAWLERS ROOM...

It would most probably garner quite a following; hell, ADMIN could utilize the space as a dumping ground for "hot" threads... I am outside of the loop of knowledge and experience here on the forum, but in my limited experience and perspective, I think it could work.

    Great

Already been discussed. Probably not going to happen. Notice I didn't say it wasn't going to happen , but it probably wont.
If the rules for the forum now can't be followed, then there's no chance that people can follow rules to contain their rants to one area.

My concern is the contempt between individuals would pour over into the other forums and most likely cause more conflict so it probably wouldn't be worth it.

Yep. But you need not look any further than the nearest mirror to spot one of the flagrant violators. Warnings were given and warnings were ignored.

This Spring Break crap has been going on for decades. In many places it’s tolerated because of the huge amount of $ it brings to a region (capitalism reigns supreme).

It seems like it’s a right of passage for these past decades of kids to be able to raise hell, almost because it’s their right because of the grind they are in these days (I’m not saying that’s right). I bet most of those kids will end up leading very successful lives and contribute well to society.

Parties/gatherings are just no longer “word of “mouth”. Social media creates these massive events. I honestly was shocked at seeing how little gun play and how few of injuries there were considering the size of the crowd.

Just a suggestion my polish brother from another mother; to start picking out cities (or states) and make even the slightest suggestion that you are generalizing them, tends to get ugly

Like I said, you are carrying Davi’s torch nicely, lol. Now it’s time to have some real enjoyment and read the morning paper; I’m thinking today is the day that the entire world decides to have a coke and live in harmony.

I added “lol” which in many usages is suggestive of being sarcastic. I apologize if you got confused, but understand your post.

Regrettably just read the paper, looks like the world ain’t ready for a coke, smile, & harmony. However, spoke to my broker and things are turning around, happy days.

    Peace.
