I used to go to Mexico in the late 90s and early 2000s with my family, but I will probably never go there again. The Dominican Republic is just as nice, if not nicer, is way cheaper, and safer. Mexico is like Afghanistan now. I can’t enjoy myself knowing cartels are kidnapping people, torturing them, etc down the street. Cartels probably own a lot of those resorts. Mexico turned into a horror show.
