TRT in Canada (Ontario Specifically)

Wow, what a blast from the past... I haven't been on here in ages, let alone posted anything.

First off, is the search function not working? I tried various TRT searches before posting this, and each time, it just says zero search results found... ?

Anyway, there are tons of TRT clinics and labs popping up all over Canada and I would like to know if anyone has used one and which is the best. Ontario specifically. I'm not sure how the whole process works, I've been to many sites and read a bunch of stuff, and they all say the same thing, that they'll test your blood work, it costs anywhere from $50 to $200 initially, but a lot of their info is vague. A lot of people also complain about the prices, the reliability, quality, etc...

Also, what is the average cost of doing TRT on a monthly basis? Am I better off just trying to find some legit Test Cyp. on my own, and just run cycles?

P.S. No, unfortunately my benefits do NOT cover any form of TRT

Search function works to the best of my knowledge. It can be picky about short or common phrases.

I'm not a doctor, but let's not let that get in the way of saying words

In short: figure $2000 USD or less per year, conceivably WAY less.

But really, average cost is: it depends. Do you want to include HCG? How much if so? What is your weekly test dose? 200 US dollars per month would be on the top end in the states, and I would hope it includes bloodwork, HCG, test, needles and any AI needed, plus a doctor's legitimate care.

But, lots of folks roll their own. What's that look like?

Well, I use a good semi ugl. 2500mg (250mg per ml x 10ml) costs about 100 bucks delivered. It is less than that, but that keeps the numbers simple. At 150mg per week, that is enough for about 16 weeks, allowing for waste and loss. So a years worth of test would be a little over 300 bucks.

But wait, I also use HCG, typically around 750iu per week. I get mine for about $25 per 5000iu, though it can be up to $70 for the same 5000iu. At 750iu per week, that is going to last me almost 7 weeks, let's call it that. On the high end, that's $560 per year (8x 70).

I also pull bloodwork about 4 times per year, though that is high end too. Say $250 x 4 = $1000

Needles and swabs, probably less than $100 per year, but let's use that number to keep the math easy.

300 + 560 + 1000 + 100 = $1960 per year.

Say 2 grand to keep it round.

That's 2k per year, with no doc involved. It is also high end, figure you could really do it for way less, especially by cutting bloods to twice a year. Plus, most major suppliers have discount pricing and I DID round way up on most of my costs.

Realistically, say 100 bucks a month. That should be easily doable.

Note that you could do it for WAY less, I simply prefer to stick with brands and suppliers that are well known and whose products are quality.

This way also takes the health care system out of the equation. So no calling the doc for a refill, waiting for appointments, etc. It also ignores national borders, so the costs would be pretty much the same in the US vs Canada, say.

The search is very finicky with the terms you enter. I try be as precise as I can. It does need to be worked on imo. A SQL 'like' command on searches would do wonders. lol

So not in Can, but thought I might add to what Cylon said and my own experience as well, since I just went down this road myself.

Mainstream Medical seems to still think men's hormones are taboo to talk about and especially treat. I was lucky and found a local hormone clinic. They've been great. They do have the monthly plans like you mentioned, but he's never pushed that on me. Im charged a 50 dollar office visit, 50 for basic labs and follow ups for the results.

Just had labs done a couple weeks ago as well. He does in office consult on the results as well as phone consults.

When he put me on injectable test, I was on the gel, he also let me source my own pharmacy. I get my test from a local harris teeter pharmacy, and have yet to use insurance. That may change, as recently my 10 week supply has gone up quite a bit. I spoke to them just this past weekend when I picked up my new script and they said my insurance would only cover one month's supply...so basically 4 vials.

Anyway, starting out i was paying around 45 to 55 bucks for 10 200mg vials. My prescription was originally written for 150mg/week, but i get gyno really easy at even that high dose, so i only take 100mg/week now. He left it at 150mg though, so I have a buffer.

This past weekend when I picked it up, it was 82 bucks. Still not crazy high imo for 2000mg of pharma grade test.

My local clinic does virtual diagnosis and prescriptions, but im sure not for you guys north of the border. But I'm extremely happy with this so far. He is a great guy, very knowledgeable, a body builder himself, and is willing to talk and or recommend any number of aas or peptides that might be of benefit.
