I've given semaglutide some thought, if for on other reason than to kill "food noise". I have about a year's worth of it on hand from various makers, we will see where I land on that.
One of the things that concerns me about it, and would be counter to your "shows good prognosis for muscle building" statement, is the smack down it can put on appetite. The calorie restriction that some people experience comes from the loss of both fat AND muscle. GLP-1s are not to the best of my knowledge muscle sparing. I SUSPECT that this could be mitigated by two things:
A) VERY careful application of some additional drugs
B) a very disciplined diet.
The drugs would include at least trt level test, hgh, and probably one of the steroids designed primarily for muscle sparing, like maybe var or similar. This would encourage the retention of muscle tissue. And of course the diet portion would focus heavily on quality protein and fiber. Some of the GLP-1s can cause constipation, evidently sometimes it can be miserable. Keeping things moving at a normal pace is vital, I think, and of course we want to keep protein intake high to help spare muscle.
There you go, just the thoughts of some rando on the internet!
