your body needs electrolytes and glucose (sugar carbs etc. ) stuff like oranges, juice or whatever to replentish is forst order of bisiness. Your body is not ready to start reparing that muscle for at least an hour. You need to eat something that is going to give you a bit of an insulin spike to spike the glucose into the muscles. Muscle repair comes later thus the need for protien intake later.

LMFAO! Thanks for the a.m. gut buster!

Oh, by the way, you're totally wrong.

Then again, you praising steroids in your autosignature is not really indicative of you having any solidified dietary knowledge, so you basically back up your post w/your autosignature.

    NICE!

If you don't refrain from posting/spamming the board w/your phucking cereal ridden diet, you're going to be given a vacation to study this sticky.

I have one question and I hope someone can direct me in the right direction.

The sticky says to get most of the food from real meals, yet it has 3/6 meals as protein shakes?

So, 3 shakes and 3 meals is considered ok? Or am I missing something?

hey guys, I got a link to here from worldfitness.com (so I'm not a newb as it might appear).

I noticed that the diet plan is based around the idea of doing cardio AND weights as part of the cutting phase, but I have a slight problem at the moment in terms of having a fractured wrist (meaning that I won't be able to lift for some time).

Basically I'm thinking is it ok to cut just from doing cardio? And if so how much should I alter the macro breakdown and ratios to cater for not having a weights workout?
In terms of the meal structure I'm thinking it would be ok simply to remove the PWO meal and replace with another pro/fat? (I don't have too much knowledge on cutting so I could do with some advice).

My situation is that I hadn't been bulking for very long before I hurt my wrist, so I'm not huge or anything, but also not skinny. If I cut now whilst I'm waiting to get back on the bulking cycle then will I lose the muscle I have because of not being able to do weights?
(Basically I'm asking should I bother doing a cutting cycle now, or just eat healthy and do cardio solely for the fitness benefits?

    Cheers guys.

great sticky. didn't know about cutting out fruit. i figured natural sugars were fine for cutting

  25. #25
Can someone please tell me what this means. Thank You.

Q: What about cycling carb intake?
A: Obviously on non workout days you will be without a shake, so you will be auto-cycling. It works well that way.

Very nice post, thank you. I am trying to cut a little bit of my belly fat and bulk a little bit as well. Yea, I think the greatest problem for me is the discipline and planning your meals in advanced. It's so much easier just tagging along with your friends to Burger King when they are all going anyway, then to be the loser who is on a diet. But with gyming I have no problems. It's really just the food intake I need to work on.

why would you train on a empty stomach? carbohydrate metabolism provides a compound called oxaloacetate, which must combine with Acetyl Coenzyme A in the Krebs cycle to fully break down fat. so restricting carbs will not result in greater fat loss. If anything, it will inhibit fat metabolism and likely make your body burn muscle
If that is the point of training on a empty stomach ?

I prefer my oats raw and uncooked, still a half cup or is this not recommended?

    Question you comment

The separation of Carbs and Fats- This is a hotly debated issue, but again, in my opinion, an important aspect nonetheless. Remember that it is often when you eat items and with what you eat them that is more important than what you are eating. A mouthful, I know, but stay with me. Remember that when you take in certain carbs, you can spike your insulin levels. If you are taking in fats when your insulin has been spiked, you are allowing the basic laws of physiology to act out, and you allow for a higher propensity for fat storage. Separation is key. The sample diet will give a good example of how to separate them

When you say, "spike your insulin levels" what if you can control this as I am a diabetic. I have always read where my insulin can help in my goals but still to this day do not know how to do that. I am an EXCELLENT diabetic. A1C 6.0 diet really good, so if my food combination is good I technically will not have any spike because I control the amount of insulin going into my body. Thanks for the post, great information..

Rambo: excellent post! Just wondering if you could give us an approximate ratio of carbs, fats, proteins ? you mentioned 1.5-2g's per lb of body weight of protein, how would you measure carbs and fats? usually it's around 1.7g (carbs) and 0.25g (fats).
