Will a 1.5 inch needle hit my shoulder bone as I am not huge (only 190)? Wasn't planning on going the whole way but would like to know how far is generally accepted?

go about an inch in
If you don't go almost all the way (within 1/8") you will wiggle around and go back and forth with your depth, possibly hitting a vein in the process. If you fear that your delts can't take it, go at a slight angle...not much. The other option is to order some 1" pinz. What gauge are you using?
if u go further down, more towards the bicep you shouldnt have anything to worry about.a long time ago i injected and it did infact hit the bone, that wasnt fun at ALL.........
it is 23g
I know it isn't ideal but would I be ok in attempting to go in only an inch? I can have my friend do the plunge while i hold her steady?.....
dont see why not...ive had to do it plenty of times...just try to keep it steady as possible.Originally Posted by dirtybrit55

i still may be able to get a hold of 1" at least for delt days. However cycle is starting 2moro and i have these pins cos i m doing glutes too. thanks guys
why not just shoot it in your delt, glute or quad?
shooting in delt and quad, source told me that winny in quad may be painful so was thinking of avoiding that, is this true?
sorry it meant to say that i m doing it in delt and glute
I put winny in my quads and dels and didn't notice a difference in pain. I was using upJohn gear. I wouldn't worry about it.
bro i would use a half inch....when i dont have one i use an inch and just dont go all the way in
Out of curiosity, how it does feel to poke a bone?
I guess it doesn't have pain/feel sensors so would you feel anything?
Would like to know this too..

you can always cut the top off of the needle cap and put it back on so that you have a custom length.. the cap will stop the needle from going in to your shoulder any farther.
get 5/8th, or 1'
good idea chris
I can't tell you how it feels but I can tell you how it feels to give someone a shot and hit bone - creepyOriginally Posted by LeafsFan
I've jabbed the 1.5" all the way with no probs. You'd be suprised how thick your delt head is I think. I'm not what I would call ridiculously huge.
Bone tissue is very rich with nerves, why do you think its so painful when you get a fracture.Originally Posted by LeafsFan
