Sounds/looks like you guys had a good weekend! I ended up back to school shopping instead of hanging on the lake like usual but still fun. Got some sandals for kayaking!

    Just finished food prep ...

This was dinner...(the leftovers not my portion &#129315

Side note, having some major pain in my right hand. Can’t grasp or pull anything. Didn’t do anything that I know of. Hoping it’s gone by tomorrow!

I refer to that as my vascularity training... It makes them much more pronounced.

Had a awesome week, best since I started this journey last year. Diet was nearly perfect, added cardio and core, and picked up the intensity on weight training. I am highly motivated, and gonna be hard to beat!

My goal is to drop at least 10-15 lbs in this contest. Total goal is dropping about 25lbs.

Chest this morning for national chest day. Lol Hand/wrist still hurts a lot so training was challenging to say the least. Not the best in the books as far as intensity but muscles felt worked so I’ll take it. Went with machines for less stress on the wrists.

    ISO lat wide chest press
5 working sets 12-15 reps worked up to 55 per side

    ISO lat Machine chest press
    4 sets of 30x12
(This seemed like more of an incline press)

    Cable flyes
    4 sets of 27.5x12

    Seated dips
    5 sets of 100x12

Superset ab work throughout. As well as attempted several other chest exercises that were no go’s.

Finished with 20 mins sprints up to 9mph & 10 mins LISS

Those are like my current meals in regards to calories. Five a day with lots of lettuce and I'm getting hunger pangs all the time. Carbed up today with approx 100g extra carbs feel fine now will keep low carb for a couple more days

I like to keep a water bottle frozen in the freezer. Then when my hand or anything hurts I roll the water bottle on it. Ice always seems to help.

Cape, How many days do you hit the gym? I'm envious of your volume, you seem to be the poster boy for "less is more".

Keep up the motivation, I know its hot, just think of all those extra calories you get to eat!

As for me, Legs today. I have a nasty scab between my shoulders from squats that I'm struggling to work around. BTW, last week, while squatting, I had a terrible cramp on the top of my forearm, wtf?. Those tangent things are weird and distracting. I might do front squats today instead, but either way today will be better because I ate an avocado and sprayed Windex on my forearm.... those two things are the cure for everything I think.

Life note: We're dog sitting. Badass looking Brindle colored 6 yr old mix of boxer/whatever.... I've never owned a dog. As a consequence, I've never had an animal stare at me in complete, stoic, silence while I eat breakfast....Freaking creeping me out. Although, having a little company during morning cardio was a nice change.

    Have a great week everyone.

It's normal when you strain your CNS activates all muscles holding the bar so you end up cramping in the forearms due to trying to push the bar up. Pushing elbows forward more might help (will also lock in your shoulder blades for a better arch). Have a great week to you too Charlie

Well it wasn't that bad, got some winds refreshing the air.

    Back -

    Straight arm pushdowns 1 wu
    Seated row 1 wu

Reverse grip pulldowns 2 wu 2 wo
Seated row 1 feel 1 wo
    Close grip pulldowns 1 wo
Seated rear row 1 wu 1 wo

    leg curls 1 wu
    hypers 1 wu

    Romanian deads 2 wu, 80kgx10,10, 100x8,6; 120x1,1

    leg curls 1 wo
    hypers, weighted 2 wo

Back and posterior chain feel blasted. Next week, gym shuts Wed-Sun, will do good to have some days off, sensing a bit of overworking in some muscle districts.

Leg workout kicked my butt this morning. Got a good one in, but was drained afterwards, so no cardio. Still gaining strength in legs, back did get a little tired during squats, could be from lower back workout yesterday

Could still feel a little pain in the right lumbar that I pulled a while ago so didn't do any heavy work, focused on grip today

    DB SLDL 70s x 2, 1 + hold counting to 10, 1 + hold counting to 10, 1 + hold counting to 5
    farmers walk 60s x 10 meters x 2 sets
    glute ham raise x 25,25
    medicine ball crunch x 30, 25

Feels like grip needs lots of work. I will add a grip day right in the middle between deadlift days with farmers walks with the DBs. The heavier DBs in this gym have a very thick handle, makes it very hard to hold without having to use heavy weight. Only thing is the dumbasses who own the gym think it's a good idea to have 60-70kg dumbbells on a rack (should be on the floor to avoid injury) and even worse, the 70kg ones don't fit in the rack due to the width they have to be placed sideways, excellent trying to position the thing while tired and just having trained your grip lol.

Don't think I'll do much low rep heavy training until cycle starts. Feels like a waste of time trying off cycle and on a calorie deficit.

Today was a rest day. Well, cardio only. Not the fun cardio you guys are talking about though lol
And now, meal prep. Chicken for days!

Side note: I thought I would be starting a cutting cycle this month, but I misunderstood. Still eating a pound of meat and a dozen eggs a day. Not complaining

Ok. I really pushed this morning. I left nothing in the gym. I am gassed.

Cable pull downs palms facing each other 1 warm 2 working

    Seated machine rows 2 working

B.B. bent over rows 2 working

    Db shrugs 2 working

Seated cable rows 1 burnout set

From the picture I can see my back needs a lot of work.
