THANK YOU..... You are not allowed to go next door and steal money from your neighbor, that is stealing. So it is absolutely no different if the government takes money from your neighbor and gives it to you.....= stealing. I'm not a Socialist either, and it is true that Socialism leads to less freedom in overall political life eventually. Germany openly puts on the table banning certain religions, that alone is enough to tell me the state is less free. There is no reason you should pay 50% of you earnings to the government. The capitolist/free market model is far superior in practice to any Socialist model as far as individual liberty and prosperity is concerned. A free market economy, left alone to its own devices, brings far more prosperity OVERALL for EVERYONE than a Socialist model does.

I didn't say Canadian doctors made as much as American doctors. Godfather said he didn't want to make as much money as teachers and I showed him that Canadian doctors are paid much more than a teacher.

Here's a few facts you can look at.

"The U.S. spends much more on health care than Canada, both on a per-capita basis and as a percentage of GDP.[5]In 2005, per-capita spending for health care in the U.S. was US$6,401; in Canada, US$3,3326.[5] The U.S. spent 15.3% of GDP on health care in that year; Canada spent 9.8%.[5]"

"The U.S. government spends more per capita on health care than the government does in Canada. In 2004, the government of Canada spent $2,120 (in US dollars) per person on health care, while the United States government spent $2,724.[10]"

"However, U.S. government spending covers less than half of all health care costs. Private spending for health care is also far greater in the U.S. than in Canada. In Canada, an average of $917 was spent annually by individuals or private insurance companies for health care, including dental, eye care, and drugs. In the U.S., this number is $3,372.[10] In 2004, health care consumed 15.4% of U.S. annual GDP. In Canada, only 9.8% of GDP was spent on health care.[10]"

"One of the most important differences between the two countries is the much higher cost of drugs in the United States. In the U.S., $728 per capita is spent each year on drugs, while in Canada it is $509.[55] At the same time, consumption is higher in Canada, with about 12 prescriptions being filled per person each year in Canada and 10.6 in the United States.[57] The main difference is that patented drug prices in Canada average between 35% and 45% lower than in the United States.[58] The price differential for brand-name drugs between the two countries has led Americans to purchase upward of US$1 billion in drugs per year from Canadian pharmacies.[59]"

"In 2002, automotive companies claimed that the universal health care system in Canada saved labour costs.[108]"

of Course, cause they don't have to offer it to you anymore. You pay for it thru taxes.

The proper comparison would be taking a workers yearly Healthcare spending amount.. in the old system.. ... and comparing it to how much per capita additional taxes he pays now with the new system.

In corporate accounting.. the Healthcare tax expense got moved from the LABOR COST tooo TAX EXPENSE section..

so yah obviously labor costs are down hahahaha... but I bet Corporate Taxes are up!

Corporate taxes are 34% in Ontario, combined with Federal taxes. This is the same as in the southern US, where automakers are eying expansion. The corporate taxes in Canada, however, are dropping to 28% by 2011.

And please explain how this was relevant to the argument? You took to attacking him personally so I did the same
