I've pretty much always trained alone.

Started in high school with buying my own free weight set......still use most of those same plates today.

I hate not having a spotter when I bench but I only got trapped once back when I was in college. I had already gotten into the habit of not using collars when I bench....just in case. That worked for me then so I continue it today. It was a pain to "dump" the weights and after the first side fell the other side went instantaneously......probably an injury waiting to happen but I'll take an injury over the alternative. And as I've said.....it happened once....sure makes a loud crash though.

I still make good gains without pushing to complete failure......just keep upping the weight.

always have trained solo..i can lift just as much with or without a partner...and having a partner takes too much effort to be in sync

Training partner just slows me down. If you ever need a spot ask someone next to you that is on there rest period. I find almost anyone is willing to spot. They may even ask for a spot in return.

I love training alone. Pump my music in my headphones and get in the zone 100% focus. I don't like talking

I mostly train alone. Over the years I have had a couple of partners but never for more than a brief period. I stick with dumbbells and lever machines to squeak out the last rep. I like training alone because I stick to my routine 100%. However I must admit that I have picked up some good tips from training partners that I still use today in my solo routine.
