I just read that Hardy got up to 192 pounds (at 5' 10" ) for the movie. I think they did a good job of making him look big.

Yea he did get big, but I think looked bigger in the movie the warriorOriginally Posted by JohnnyVegas
They use the same type of tricks Tom Cruise uses. for example, if he has to kiss a 5'2" woman, then they make Tommy boy stand on an orange crate when they do kiss so that he looks like the big man he so desperately wants to be.
uh, i guess you can tell i really really dislike tom cruise? not as an actor, but as a person.
I agree but he had those "exo-skeleton" leg thingys that made him able to kick holes in walls.
See I thought Bane was too small. Sure he was thick and all but he stood eye to eye with Batman in the fights. I would have liked to see Dwayne Johnson play Bane or someone of taller stature. So Bane could "tower over" Batman. More of a David vs Goliath fight in the end too.
The hard part imo was to bring a very unrealistic comic book character into a realistic world. Nolan did a good job at this because although Bane was a physical force to reckon with he was also of a superior intellect, a sinister workin mindOriginally Posted by evander87
I think there was some sort of enhancement used on tom hardy for the movie. It was used in another movie recently also but I cant remember
I saw the before and after pics of hardy and there was a huge difference
I have been impressed by Hardy's ability to shrink and grow depending on the needs of his character.Originally Posted by Rwy2778;60***20
Like JohnnyV I'm impressed with his ability to change sizes drastically. Small in Inception, huge in The Warrior, small in This Means War, and huge in Dark Knight.
So how long do you think before we see the next gen "Robin" movie to come out?
I hope they do more batman movies. They are supposed to work togetherOriginally Posted by Times Roman
Yea and they are supposed to fight crime together. Did u read what I wrote about the knife thing and why the knife hurt Bruce?Originally Posted by Times Roman
Bane is one of my fav characters of all time. He has a complex back story and flaws that make him likable. They mixed his back story in and altered it to fit in the idea of razal ghuls daughter. The prison, back breaking, mercanry, razal ghul, etc.
The mask released a painkiller that helped bane with his injurys sustained well helping razal ghuls daughter make the leap. Its a shame they didint include venom into the story even though he eventually kicks the venom and but ends back on it.
Yes size and physical prowness is scary but intelligence is by far scarier imho.

there wont be a robin movie comming out. john blake was kinda a "robin" in he movie. most likely the movies that will be comming out will be jhon blake being batman and whoever plays the original batman will be mentoring him. i doubt a batman and robin will ever come out, atleast not for awhile
You think Blake well really become Batman? Do you think we well see Christan bale again as Batman?Originally Posted by kalspic
Saw it today in IMAX, enjoyed the movie but the story was weak. I would have liked it if they focused more on the story behind Bane and have less action overall. DC always has great history behind their characters so I was hoping it would have been more history of Bane in the story.
Seen it today was very impressed but i dont think it came anywhere near the avengers in my opinnion...On another note trailor for the new superman looks quite good and with Zack Snyder directing it has the potential to be great
Saw it today and liked it but wished they gave more detail about bane and his history. Also though it was lame how they killed him off.
