It absolutely is. Platz would load up 315 on the bar and just squat till he dropped. A serious 50 reps.....
And probably the best legs in bodybuilding to this day.

I would love to have Platz's legs. However, I'd just settle for his ankle and hip flexibility.

if you want to work them twice why not do your normal leg day then on back day, once your done deadlifitng hammer out some front squats, paused olympic squats or bulgarian split squats, all 3 smash quads(good accessories for deadlifting) and finish up wit the rest of your workout.

Ok, I see where you're coming from. Now since you're on google, check out the two names I mentioned. And also re-read my posts. I never said to exclusively train that way. And yes, I can out squat most people, even at my age. The 20 reps I speak of is with 405lbs and are full powerlifter depth squats without wraps. I trained with powerlifters exclusively for a long period of time. It's an easy yes to triple BW squats. I could probably still come close to it at my advanced age, but what do I know, I'm not 20..

Oh, and BTW, here are some current leg pics. I look for both size and performance. I don't care how much you squat if you don't at least somewhat "look" like you can.....
