Let me explain something to you. If you have a so called veteran telling you war stories, I can guarantee you that 99% of his/her talk is bullshit and they never saw direct action. We call these wannabe war heroes "FOBBITS". this means that the majority of these Forward Operating Base heroes stayed on a FOB for the majority of their tour.

I along with every other true combat soldier I know will never talk to any other soldier about what transpired in combat much less a damn civilian. We try to forget, not gloat.

yea he doesn't tell war stories about killing people just about the people he saw and he didn't spend all his time on a FOB because he was blew up in a IED has a destroyed hip and scars to prove it, and was also shot in a different situation

Scars do not prove one received combat related injuries. Ask him for his approved Purple Heart citation(s), this is proof.

yes he has of them them I have seen pics of him in uniform and he has a chest full medals before he retired I think if you met him in person you would apologize for calling him a liar, if not because he prob outranks you but out of respect

SO now this has a become a dick measuring contest i see. Was your friend a CO or NCO? I never called him a liar, I just stated that no self respecting combat veteran will come back and talk about the shit he/she did and saw and the ones that do are most likely liars. Are you a teenager?

A chest full of medals means nothing mate. You no in vietnam the usa gave out service medals to people who did not even serve in country.
