This past week off has benefitted me SO MUCH! Incline presses 275 for reps today - did 2 sets of 10 with a 3rd set of 6 and a drop to 225 for 6 more.
I didn't go balls out either because of my back and shoulder so I'm confident I can attempt 315 in another 4 weeks or so.
Edit - weighed in at 263.5
Where are his pics i wanna see!
I typically never did presses because of the shoulder pain. I've just recently found that inclines in the smith with a 45 degree angle really feels good.Originally Posted by kelkel
I'm gunna stick with those for a bit - I'm doing 70 lb dumbell flys and those give me a great stretch.

Bis / chest tonight. First time trying out kelkels recommendation with doing biceps before chest. I liked it.
- seated incline dumbbell curl. 2 warm up, 1 working then triple drop to failure.
- Hammers, 1 warm up, 1 working , double drop to failure.
- reverse curls 1 warm up, 1 working, rest pause.
Chest:
- Incline dumbbell press, 1 feeler, 1 working, double drop set. By this time I was gasping for ever breath. I was really pumped up.
- incline flys, 1 working set, triple drop set.
- Cable flys 3 sets high rep.
I've been doing Hit religiously for the past 4 weeks and have been really concentrating on the mental aspect. Every work out I get better/stronger. Also diet has been spot on. The results are UNREAL! Thanks again to all you guys here.. Now when I look around in the gym I'm pretty much the only person who's breaking a sweat, everyone else is taking their 5 minute breaks between each set and carrying on a conversation. Makes me laugh now![]()
I love doing concentration curls to finish off biceps. You can spot yourself with free hand and do forced reps and negatives without a partner.
Holy crap and Holy crap. Nice. Wtf can't this old body get past 180#. I've gained 30# in 2.5 yrs and now I'm stuck. I know.....eat eat eat.
Maybe it's time for me to stop trying and just go with the flow...
Some day.. but not yet..
I picked those up and there's no way I can lift with those. They feel too funny to me. It's uncomfortable sinking my hand into itOriginally Posted by kelkel
Looking ripped thor..
thx man! 210 which is my heaviest ever. I'm on travel right now and in an ice storm so no venturing out to find a gym - hotel gym sucks. Little frustrated about not hitting it yesterday/today/tomorrow but making the best out of it. Just ordered room service - duck quesedilla and a cowboy rib eye and baked potato![]()
Been busy with work and my little boy. Geez, teething is a bitch eh?
Legs for me, and I've kept things the same for a bit now.
Leg extension 2 warms, 1 working (with legs tho, since the weight has been going up, sometimes I go two working cuz the first ain't heavy enough lol!)
Leg press (same 2/1)
Hack squat 2/1
Leg curl 2/1
Calf raise 2/1
Also plan on trying that bi's before chest next week, see how I like it.
yeah rip I remember those days with my girls.. poor little guy. Glad you're finding time for the fam and gym!
Completely different muscle. Seated works the soleus muscle predominantly, which is smaller and beneath the gastroc. Standing works the gastroc. No matter what you read you really don't get one while doing the other. Think of it like triceps, they don't really grow a lot just cause we bench press.

What's everybody opinion on creatine? Is it worth it or it depends on the individual?
Great info kel! I didn't know that..... I've primarily done seated as I have a seated calf machine at home.Originally Posted by kelkel
