No, and I'm not saying its fair to say the old testament is null and void. BUT when you have stark contradictions in the two books which do you follow? While I didn't want to jump into this I have to agree, to call what soldiers doing as "stupid" is pretty insulting. I dont agree with Iraq/Afghanistan occupation, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the soldiers over there dont agree either but its their job. It's what they are paid to do. I mean, where should our soldiers be fighting? Don't be angry to with the soldier, be angry at the General or Politician that sent the order for their deployment.

exactly what war do you believe has a purpose? war is war, theirs no winners or loosers, no one realy benefits in the end of the day

people become soldiers for many reasons, they dont become soldiers so they can go fight a war, if they do its usally becuase their passionate about their country

though i may agree with you that the war may be not nessecary, i dont think you should refer to the soldiers as slaves ,since they clearly are not
