Howd you guys get uniforms before even going through basic?

I went to basic in Chicago and we started getting our asses kicked at the airport when we landed in our street cloths. When we went through we had to walk around nude with our personal sh!t in a bag until they gave us sweats and shaved all of our heads. I didn't even get fitted for uniforms until like week 3 or something.

All my communication was through mail pen and paper, i didn't get a phone call or nothin the whole time going through. I thought the army was tougher then the other branches to? Guess i was wrong. The only awesome part is the end, the feeling that you made it and look back on what you accomplished.

They gave us our ACUs in reception. Basic was tough. When I said awesome it was in reception lol after basic really started it kicked my ass pretty good. And I damn say that the lawmakers

SEALS are by far not the best, or most trained Professionals in the Military. US Airforce Combat Controllers in my professional opinion are the most diversly trained within the Special Operations Community. They can do it all.

I disagree, they are in the top, if not, the most professional combatants in the US military. I spent a month with a couple guys that were part of a Seal Team when they were on my ship and they don't compare to anybody else. Granted i've never seen or been around Airforce Combat Controllers so i can't exactly make a logical comparision. SEALs do absolutely everything, infact a SEAL Team was the culprit of Bin Laden's demise.

A lot has changed but if you get some old schoolers as your company commanders or RDC's they don't give a shit and won't even abide by those rules if nobody higher up is around. Basic is a great experience man, congrats on your completion. You'll come to learn that the strictness is no where near how it is out in the field, then again it all depends on what kind of leader you have.
