I was raised with a racist attitude being forced on me as a child. I learned from it and decided to never be like that myself. But the thing is...I hear so much of that shit go on and they don't even know it...whether it's a really obvious hateful statement about a group of people or religion... or something very subtle (which to me is just as bad). Like people who think it's ok to hate all muslims because of 9/11 or even randomly asking a hispanic person if they speak spanish...

Problem is that we all want to be treated equally and be color blind but then all groups of people go out of there way to be different and seperated. You hear comments of "the hispanic vote" and stuff like... you have a group for every major group going out of there way to make a big deal in the press showing there differences. Why? Why are all so obsessed with our differences? Like me... if people ask me what I am...first thing out of my mouth is "american". What else really matters? Our bloodlines all have a very big history adn i'm not saying you should forget that...i'm just saying...we should remember not only our journey and the past...but where we are here and now and who we are. We are humans in this tiny planet...with the same bones, the same blood, the same hearts just trying to live thier life and work for the same goal....live a happy life.

I'd figure that be alot easier if we could all remember that fact and not get so stuff on something so stupid as skin pigment.
