Custom Cam (huge ), stock 347 cc block, stock size heads (double springs, hardened rods, double roller timing chain), intake, custom true duals with 3" x-pipe, 3 gear trans, 4.56 gear, rear suspension, weight reduction - little gutted out ( EGR,A/C system, front sway bar, rear sets etc. )
    R/T: .2 sec
    60foot: 1.52
    11.20 @121.38mph

Next step.. TAADAA : C5R 427cc LS1 motor. Most likely TT system on there. I want to get close to 1k hp out of it.
Not for a while tho.. this is way too much money for me to spend right now.

    [edit] United States-spec

    [edit] Rev. B (2002)
North America receives its first Impreza WRX models. They are equipped with a EJ205 engine rated at 227 hp at 6000 rpm with 217 ft·lb at 4000 rpm. Unlike the Japanese EJ205, the US-spec engine uses a Mitsubishi TD04-13T turbocharger unit. In stock form, it reaches a peak 13.5 psi of boost. The seats are the same as the basic J-spec Impreza. The wheels are cast 16” x 6.5” version of the J-spec WRX NB wheels while the brakes are 2-piston/1-piston front and rear with the front rotors being ventilated disks. The gear ratios are the standard export models, but the final drive is a 3.9:1 ratio. The rear LSD is a viscous coupling type. The steering rack has a ratio of 16.5:1. The 4EAT automatic WRXs have a 45:55 torque split with Vehicle Dynamics Control. The car weighs 3085 lbs

Now that I found wikipedia I can travel to different chatrooms and forums to try to put PPL down and make myself look smart because I got picked on too much at school..Thank god for WIKIPEDIA
I'm glad you find Wikipedia such an enlightening source of information!!

It wasn't actually me who posted, but I'll defend him anyway as he's my bestmate!!

I'm just amazed at your ignorance, you never said the post related to US models and our reply never mentioned where they were released!!

As I'm sure you're aware, all the top Jap tuning parts come from Japan, so saying that the car is new compared to the EVO is irrelevant. The top tuning companies have been making parts for STi and EVO for the same period of time, and if you're referring to any US made crap then thats even funnier. Coz the US couldnt tune a Jap motor if you were given a dot-to-dot diagram of how to do it!!

You say you run a modifying company?!?! You really should be clued up about your business, I've no hesitation in the world in saying that the US guys are the gods of tuning muscle cars (possibly with the exception of Scandinavia in some instances) however if you;re gonna step into the Jap world be prepared.

As for a car to beat yours........

Sorry but if that car runs a sub-9 in that spec I'll give you my Porsche!!

This is a 9-sec 1/4-mile EVO engine, running a staggering 930bhp in a fully lightened and prepared chassis. **Also the fastest EVO in the world!!**

I have no question that you run a top company, you've spent a lot of money on the car and obviously wanna do well, but I'm sub-9's is rediculous.

I have no desire to argue this out in a public forum however, if you would like to discuss spec, performance etc please PM me. I've been in the Jap scene for a long time, Ben has even longer!! We weren't Jun dealers for nothing!!

It handles very well for such a big car. It's not a raw feel like an E30 or even E36 M3, but it's not supposed to be. In my opinion, it's great balance of comfort and feel for a four door.

Man I think that built C5R with TT system would be just insane.
Theres a 383cc with TT system that runs 9s on slick, 10s on drag radials, low 11s on street tire! Top speed at 200 mph. Now thats a all around car.

Sorry mate, I've been in a real shitty mood last couple of days!!

I wasn't aware of the AMS Evo, thats a nice spec car from what I've just read. Although I was referring to "fastest" as in the Norris car pushes 215mph. The most powerful Evo that I know of is owned and built by RC Developments in Warrington, UK running circa. 1050bhp but I havent a clue what 1/4-mile that runs or if its even setup for 1/4-mile runs!!

I wish you the best luck, I know 1st hand what it's like trying to accomplish something like that as I'm in the mddle of a big project myself... most powerful Ariel Atom!!

Sub-9's or even Sub-10's is impressive for any road car. Out of interest though, are you in MA?? A friend of mine I just spoke to said he knows of a guy in MA who is currenly building a ~1000bhp EVO?!?!

No Iam not in MA..But at 35PSI on C16 Iam running just under 1000bhp and I beleive I can press it harder than that..Like I said before..I guess I got to wait and see what it can do on some dry pavement with some fresh tires..No offence taken BTW..I had no clue they were making Sti's in 92..My performance aspect of my business is mainly muscle cars and is still growing(still small)I mostly sell rims and stereo's and tint windows..Some of the harder work I take to a Master Mechanic that I have a percentage business with, but my personal interest say get a dyno and a tech and start tuning myself..Iam moving my shop in the spring for more room and were going to try to make it a more upscale local..Iam kinda in the outskirts of the ghetto right now..Ive had 4 burglary attempts in the last six months ..Each one cost time and money..I got all windows barred and a steel front door now..Anyways not trying to tell you my life story, I know what your saying we all get in those "moods"..Don't sweat it and I'll make sure to get that video of me making my timeslip this spring

That sucks!! Been tere myself with burglars!!

One thing i did notice in your pic is in regards to the manifold (header)...

The tube size seems to be quite small, are the ports enlarged and matched to the header?? It's possibly that I'm used to seeing thicker tube, I think our last 1 we had commisioned was ~6mm stainless IIRC. It could just be a trick of the eye, also are you gonna lag the manifold?? We experimented with CO2 cooling the turbo outlet on a car last year, the results were quite impressive!! The outlet was ceramic coated in black and then we fashioned a a cooling lag and CO2 injector, on full throttle the CO2 cooled the outlet, causing a greater temperature differential between the manifold side gases and the outlet side gasses. Just an FYI, fairly complex proces but worth it for the "i've done that" feeling!!

The pics make the tube look small..It's actually custom built by Dave the rally team guy because we couldn't get any headers to fit..Actually those pics do the car no justice, its so clean you can eat off it now and everything is ceramic coated..CO2 would be optimal, Iam using methanol in a certain map..Iam hoping to get an extra 10-20 horses off it..The nasty exhaust and wastgate holes will be covered and not visible to the eye..It will def be done by spring..Iam soo excited ..
