Ya, I hope my daughter will still be daddy's little girl in 20+ years. I know I'll still protect her like she's 2, lol.

Love my son too. He's my best buddy.....but he's very much mommy's boy. I'm hoping when he's 12, daddy can win his heart at the gun range. Lol.

Thankful that I get paid to practice what was once a hobby (programming), that my kid made it safely into adulthood and has her shit together and still loves me to death, that I earn enough to have pretty much whatever foods I choose to shovel in my maw, always have time to go to the gym, don't have a nagging wife trying to try to control me, and don't have to pay the ex anymore.

I just got home from work, cooking some fish on the grill, marinating a chicken, and laying on my couch relaxing while I listen to the ocean coming in the window. life could certainly be.worse!

That's great java. A nice picture... Laying on the couch listening to the ocean and the smell of cooking food. A lot to be grateful for.

I get the "Lower" comment now - Sounded as if you meant "Less Flow".

I know there have been posts about the hurricane in the Philippines and the tragedy there..my heart goes out to them. I was watching the news and the images of the destruction and I was standing at my counter making some toast and the hot water running to do some dishes....what a blessed situation I have. Power and hot water, my house has heat for the winter...and I have a family to share it with...

Yep but I complain a lot. I should reflect on this the next time I think I have everything to complain about. And some of the crap going on in the rest of the world right now. I got no room to bitch.

The weekends off. My entire adult life I've never had to work the weekends. Spending some time with the kids than grandma and gramps are watching them so me and the wife can have a date night.

I'm thankful that over the last few days I have managed not to snap and loose it completely due to circumstances.

Thanks and yeah I know. I have been patient 99% of my life. Most of my close friends say I'm far to patient, including the wife so it must be true. lol Just every once in a while you get to the point where you dont know if you want to laugh (that's what I do most of the time) cry or scream (I do this sometimes).

When I was a kid I remember people praying and asking for God to give them patience. I was about 8 and asked after a prayer meeting we had once why they asked God to teach them patience. They said because they have been having so many things happen in their life that was stressful and they were tired of feeling stressed. I said then they should ask God to stop all the stress, not pray for patience. You learn patience or anything by doing it or going through something. In other words they were asking for more stress, not less.

You should have seen the looks on their faces when they realized they had just been schooled by an 8yr old and they had in fact been asking for more stress, not less. lol

A shelter from the cold. It gets damn cold here in the winter... teens and single digits are common. There is a warming shelter where people can spend the night but doesn't open until 700 pm. Very often people wait there at 10am to get a spot or save it for another.

May have said this before but those black skin tight stretch pants all the girls are wearing now. I go to collage and about 75% of the girls have them on. If they are good looking it shows everything nicely if the are a bit out of shape it holds it together. Who ever invented those pants I say thank you.

Me and the family went to the holiday fair today and we all had our picture taken with Santa, even my 12 year old son. We had a good time laughed and picked out some ornaments for the tree. Days like these are priceless. I am truly grateful tonight.

Spent last night and the day with my kids. Picked up my daughter's flu bug (she's fine now) and I felt like crap all day, but was happy to spend the day at Sea World with my pride and joy.

Paying the price now as I lay on the couch aching and shivering but it was worth it. They move to Canada with the Ex on Thanksgiving day.....so there won't be much to celebrate and be thankful for next week.

Glad they had a great time. Daddy loved every minute of the day together!

The family members that I have never known that have worked so hard and given so much so that I am in the place I am now. I will never get a chance to thank them but will pass it on to my kids.
