Just a smidge of snow here and a tad of ice, but possibly some snow on the way. Off work tonight. . Going to watch a movie with the wife and the beast and eat some soup and crash back out for a while. Thinking I may get up around 3 or 4 and walk down to the shop to lift.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

LMAO, and work just called. Said if I want to come in, they have rooms.reserved at the nearby Holiday Inn so I wouldn't have to worry about driving home. WTF, who wants to get locked in @ work.
It's a generous offer on their part, but I believe I'll keep my @ss right here at home.

Back was intense bought new headphones they are brilliant at blocking out all the noise in the gym. Weirdly this is why I wasn't training as hard as previous as I was being distracted as my old head phones were fcked.

So sore now haha and will be tomorrow.

T-Bars with olympic bar: 2 sets about 8 reps each. Stayed a plate or so shy of real heavy. Easing back into them. Felt good, saw some stars...
Dumbell simultaneous rows: 2 sets 10-12 reps. Starting to like these.

Laterals: 2 sets 12ish reps. Always feel better with higher reps on these for me
    Supported bent-over laterals: 2 sets 12-15 reps

    Very nice session kel.

^^^ I think that is just part of the ritual isn't it. Bet your next one will be a real humdinger.

Edit: Marcus, that is how I was this past week when I just went to the shop and only moderately worked upper body/broke a sweat, since I was giving the quad a rest. My first HIT lift after that was shoulders, and it was a real no-shitter.
I bet your next session will be almost inhuman.

Snow has picked up a bit now here. Probably won't amount to more than an inch or two.

Which causes you more issues when you have a bad lift, Marcus? Is it stress/mental or injury related/physical? I think for me, it is when I have problems leaving work/life problems
outside the gym/shop where I lift.

Its focus which is a mental side. I do have things on my mind regarding a project what I am doing but that's a good thing its just a mental side which I didn't have control of.

My legs are freaking toasted from yesterday. Quads, hams, glutes, even the calves are tender. Get as much rest as possible for them today, but with two little kids that will equal...about...zero.

    Clocking in this morning guys/gals!!

17.5 to 18 inches of snow now and it is still coming down.

I have delts/traps on the menu today. Hopefully it will be a good one. Arms are a little sore not to bad though.

I had a good old time driving to the gym with all the snow on the ground. Did some doughnuts in the parking lot too since the parking lot was empty.

Been babying a herniated disc in my back for awhile, so I've been biding my time catching up on some weak points. Killing calves, arms (trying to rebuild the 2.5" I lost on my right arm which is ALL tricep loss),
    side delts, forearms, and abs.

I am going to have to baby my back too so I like you approach to attack weak areas. I am heading out later today. Report later.
