That sounds fine. I take about 800-950IU of Vit E ED, and 600mg of Vit C, remember minerals and vitamins are also in the foods you eat.Originally Posted by Jantzen4k
The only thing you should be really looking @ is taking in too much zinc. That can become toxic, other than that you're fine.
If you think you take alot of vitamins, you would probaly tell me to go to a vitamin rehab. I spend about 60-70 dollars a month on vitamins. With the exception of some of the B's and vitamin K there is really no toxicity level so you cant get too much of a good thing.
i thought if you pass a certain mg or IU a day for a vitamin it becomes toxic?, like with vitamin C, but i forget the cap level![]()
Vitamin C you can take alot. Its water -soluble. Vitamin A can be toxic at higher doses. I take 1g flax & fish 3 times a day w/meals. To answer the ? no thats not too much..
Since ascorbic acid (Vit C) is a water-soluble vitamin, toxic levels are not built up or stored in the body, and any excess is lost mostly through urine. If extremely large amounts are taken gastrointestinal problems may appear, but will normalize when the intake is cut or reduced. To determine a level where a person might experience discomfort is difficult, since some people can easily stomach up to 25,000 mg per day, while others start having a problem at 600 or 1,000 mg. Vitamin C will be more effective if taken with bioflavonoids, calcium and magnesium. To enhance the antioxidant properties, it will be best to take it with the other anti-oxidants, as there is strong evidence of synergy between all of them.Originally Posted by Jantzen4k

The levels have to be very very high, I take alpha, and beta carotene as opposed to vitamin A. Need an inexpensive source that has a great selection try www.vitamins.comOriginally Posted by bluethunder
