Wonder Why?

I often wonder why some people are so helpful and will go out of their way to help out your situation and other people are such a$$holes and dont try to help out in any way. They just give you bare minimum help. I understand the UG worls is very shady but come on where are all these stand up guys. And how are you supposed to get familiar with people if you only talk to them through the internet? I dont get how some times guys tell others to have refs and who can vouch for you when I never even speak with anybody on a face to face basis. I dont get how some of these people assosiate with one another unless they are from the same area. Who knows but it makes me wonder?

No not any of that fellas. Yes helping out on the UG scene is part of it but you can find that anywhere honestly. People are shady bottom line. Guys hear talk like they have known each other forever but how is that. I think there is a lot of buddy-buddy stuff going on. Its a shame though how you cant really tell whos stand up and who isnt but you def get vibes from people.

Well, I myself, I've been on the Net since 2000. During that time I've met people from the Net, met them at shows I did, met them when I traveled, some have traveled to meet me, etc. I then got into magazines and such because of me being on the Net and running my own business, did things for/with T-Mag.com, etc. Now I work w/my boy in L.A. who is famous, and people know me from that as well. So, people on the Net actually know who I am from looking at all of those areas. Other people become friends just through knowing each other for years on the CPU, pics, live-cams, etc., even if they aren't "out there" like myself for people to see. There are those that have been here for ages, and you just "know" them after a while. I've been friends w/people on the Net as well for 4 years, never seen them in person, but I know that it is indeed them.

Thanks for the input fellas and yes SwoleCat I know you got mad credit with all these people. I was just curious to know how some of these other guys that dont have as much exposure to things get to know eachother but you pretty much awnsered my question In your post. Thanks fellas! I will have to work at it for some time then I guess. Need to get my knowledge of all this up.
