I really don't know that much about them but I was talking to my brother and he said for the most part the Iranians are relatively "American friendly" but their leadership is not. In fact Iranians are not Arabs but Persian and there is a different culture between the two. Irans leadership is arab and it tends to be more aggressive.

Newbreed, I was in the Navy and primarily did indication and warning for my battlegroup. The main part of my job was studying the countries of interest and their military capabilities. I don't believe what you're thinking of is the same as myself. The Government of Iran, while extreme in some cases, isn't entirely stupid. The people you talk too and their views may be incredibly biased and based off of ignorance and yes they'd probably use a nuke if they could, but they wouldn't be the ones in charge of the nuke. While these countries like to flaunt their disrespect to the US and show nothing but lack of cooperation, they're still very much concerned with self-preservation and wouldn't sentence themselves to death by giving nukes to a few uneducated goat herders that have been brainwashed to kill Americans.

I agree, we have all had our fill of our soldiers being killed, but if you look at our previous wars the numbers are extremely low.
WWI - 54,000
WWII - 292,000
Korea - 34,000
Vietnam - 48,000
It sucks to have anyone killed, but this war must be completed. If we left now Iran and Syria will take over and imagine all the people the will be killed. Just like Khmer Rouge leader Pol Pot in Cambodia, 2,000,000 deaths.

What do Middle-Eastern countries market other than oil and perhaps some rare metals? The only country in the gigantic shit-hole that is the Middle-East that is worth a damn and doesn't have it's head shoved entirely up it's own ass is the UAE. They at least realize their cash-crop is a non-renewable resource and are taking steps to make Dubai a hot tourist spot... which it is. I went to Dubai 4 times in the Navy and loved every trip.
