My cousin sent me a pic of MIKE MENTZER, and he says this guy is GOD. He's like one of the most famous BB in the world. He owns Mr. Universe, and well...I didn't know who he was (i don't know much about pro BB though).
He also says this guy got this big by doing nothing but Static Contraction. WTF ??? Can that be, and what do you guys think about Static Contraction ???

Mike Mentzer died awille back. And he did have different traing methods, different from the norm.

He founded HIT - High Intensity Training. Basically, you lift your one rep max, put the weight down for 30 seconds or so, lift your one rep max again (may have gone down a bit), repeat, repeat. You don't do nearly as many sets and reps as usual but it works well for some people as Mentzer proved. He was original to say the least.

I got introduced to his methods about 3 years ago. The owner of the gym I was at was really Mentzer gung ho. He lent me some of his audio tapes and books by Mentzer. I was impressed. Mentzer was an extremely intelligent guy. I dont do his one rep deal but to this day I train by some of his phillosophies. You should check it out.
