anyone tried Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex Protien yet???
he said it was ok , but when i was going to buy it we looked at the labels between their regular whey(which i use) and that and we couldn't justify the extra $$ for the extras that were in itOriginally Posted by dtr98
On is ussually a very reliable company but IMO any protein complex should have micellar casein in there somewhere.
i usually use the On 100% whey and wanted to check out the 55gm in one serving but don't know how many servings per container
thanks guys
28-29 servings per container for the 4.4 pounds one.
Thats exactly what I was thinking....Originally Posted by nsa
ISS makes a good protein complex. Its called Pro M3, it has: whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate, calcium caseinate and egg albumen. Basicly the same as the protein complex that ON makes plus it has caseine in there.
compared to 74 servings on the On 100% whey, it'll be cheaper to just double on the wheyOriginally Posted by nsa
thanks
Then you would just be taking in twice as much whey protein. The point of a protein complex is to give you different kinds of proteins, different kinds of proteins have different rates of digestion.
I've tried the chocolate, and it doesn't taste very good. Actually had a bitter taste to it. I'm going to stick w/ regular ON 100% whey from now on...
that's the reason i was asking about it because of the different proteins in it,Originally Posted by nsa
i'm gonna give it a try and see
thanks
i think ISS pro m3 is a better choice for a protein complex than ON's.
thanks, i'll look into it
I just bought another 12 lb bag of their Serious mass gainer. Great taste for having no sugar and it has 50 grams of protien per serving. Best value.
I know it isnt JUST protein but maybe it might help....
where do you get yours from??Originally Posted by bermich
thanks
It still has some sugar in it. It has a ton of complex carbs. Complex carbs aren't necessarily good carbs just because they are complex. They should be low GI carbs if they they are not taken post-workout.Originally Posted by bermich
And it still doesn't have any casein in it.
Micellar matrix by ISS is also another good protein complex, actually i think its a little better than pro M3.
You can also look at custom mix companies like allthewhey and many others. They are usually relatively reasonable, and allow you to make your own complex.
Yeah, thats what i do myself. Black star labs allows you to make your own customeized protein with a whole bunch of possible ingredients.
