protein intake, lean body mass and body fat %
ok i am wondering about whenever a diet says "take 1gram protein per pound body weight" do they mean your TOTAL body weight (including fat/water, etc) or are they talking about LEAN BODY WEIGHT...
for example;
say someone weighs 200lbs and they have 20% body-fat... should they be taking in 160grams of protein or 200grams of protein? that is, do you subtract the amount of weight from body fat percentage when considering how much protein to take for your size...
?
thanks

lean body mass/weight. But you're better off posting this in the diet section of this message forum. either that or just reading the FAQs there should answer any other questions as well!
